It's a Blast! My problem is that I am so enamored of Me Little Darlin' that she has become my One Bike. Like I was telling Roadie Ryan, I think I will turn my old Mongoose into a Sting Ray for just that purpose: Being a kid around town.

If you wanted to load up the truck and bring Kenny down for a couple days of Sun and Single track it would be no problem. I am thinking about turning the Mongoose into a copy of that bike from when I was seven, just for the hell of it. What a lucky life I have that I can ride with no effort at all sometimes, but still move along and smell summer along the river and be so happy.
We all have complications sometimes, but to ride and breathe and be, well that is all we need. You hit the nail on the head about rediscovering the child-like joy in cycling. Some of my best times as an adult cycling are when I spontaneously laugh or smile at the sheer fun of being on my bike just like when I was riding my second hand Sting Ray back in the day. I think your motto is very zen and not at all the byline of a "loser" but of someone who has gained some wisdom. If being a "winner" means never being contented, grateful or thankful but always wanting the more/better/faster/newer/shinier or that thing your neighbor Steve has that is cooler than the thing you have then count me off the Podium. Keep on riding and writing TPC.

Roadie "going ride me some figure 8's in the cul de sac"RyanRoadieRyanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15900109046198641775noreply@blogger.com
